Interaction Design

RainyDays was my very first website and the starting point of my journey into web development. It was created as my first exam project, at a stage when I had only just learned the basics of design, HTML and CSS. Out of three possible concepts, each with its own set of provided images, I chose to build an online store for outdoor jackets. The original version was built entirely with HTML and CSS, with no JavaScript, loading indicators or error handling. As my studies progressed, the project was revisited and upgraded to reflect the new skills I had gained. Products are now fetched dynamically with JavaScript, and the site displays loading states while content is on its way and clear error messages if something goes wrong. The home page introduces the store with a selection of jackets and the categories available to browse. From there, the Deals, Women and Men pages each show the jackets belonging to that category, while the full jacket list brings every product from across the site together in one place. Selecting a jacket opens its details page, where the visitor can read more about it before moving on to purchase.
